“BUILDING CENTRE” COTTAGES

FURNISHED AT £45 EACH

Two cottages have been erected in the Strand from winning designs in a competition organised by the Building Centre. The architect is Mr. N. E. Leeson of Newcastle-on-Tyne, and they have been built by Messrs. R. Carse & Son, Amble, for the sum of £450 the pair. The cottages have been furnished by a committee of the Building Centre in an attempt to prove that they may be furnished in good taste, as well as at a low cost. The total expenditure on the furniture for each house was approximately £45.
