SAND-BAGS, trenches, awful stink;
Barbed wire.
Great feats of heroism;
Dug-out.
Lice, dirt, dead Frenchmen,
Tin-cans. '
Indecent language, decomposing flesh,
Worms, sores, discomfort;
Beer!
And Death itself.
