There is in the work of Mervyn Suart an ingredient which rather suggests tomorrow than to-day. Possessed of an advanced outlook on art, he is able to harness himself to more or less conventional requirements, as exemplified by some of these reproductions. But there is a freshness in his treatment which even these fail to hide. Being the youngest member of the Group, he is able to synchronise with the view point of the younger generation.
